Hello everybody! My name is Braj. I am working as a freelance translator for the last seven years. Over the years, I have translated a variety of texts in all the major fields, such as medical, technical and legal texts, literary texts, tourist information, web pages, and advertising leaflets. However, my preferred subjects are legal translations, tourism & leisure industry and sales & marketing. My translations are 100% handmade, which means that I never use machine-translation programs, only the best translators tools existing on the market, such as MemoQ and SDL Trados, for the simple reason of saving time in order to deliver the commissioned work in the record time. I came a little late to translating... I spent a few years trying out different careers. I worked as a legal assistant, a bookkeeper, an office manager, an HR representative, even a restaurant manager... all before I found my calling. While I sometimes wish I had gotten into translation sooner, I'm thankful that I was able to experience such a wide variety of positions. It makes me a stronger translator, as I'm well versed in the vocabulary used in such widely different positions. Now, I'm able to put all of those various skills to use, helping others to communicate with the best, most natural translations possible.

I have translated ever since my college graduation. I translate in the combinations Spanish-English, and German-English. I specialized in translating contracts, novels, certificates, certifications, wills, deeds, court sentences. Furthermore, I have translated for mining and drug companies. I work on projects concerning to drug information, medical reports, drug test results, leasing of mines, information about minerals, among others. I am a languages student from Northern Ireland, studying Spanish and Portuguese. I may not be fully qualified, but I am now looking to fill my time with more translation due to the fact that I had to return home during my Erasmus year due to the COVID-19 outbreak. I am highly proficient in Italian - primarily self-taught - but have also studied at the Lorenzo de Medici and Centro Firenze language schools in Florence over the last 14 years.
