It makes me a stronger translator, as I'm well versed in the vocabulary used in such widely different positions. I am a languages student from Northern Ireland, studying Spanish and Portuguese. I may not be fully qualified, but I am now looking to fill my time with more translation due to the fact that I had to return home during my Erasmus year due to the COVID-19 outbreak. I still am continuing with my classes from my host university (Porto, in Portugal) and am currently studying a translation module so I am familiar with CAT software and the proper protocol for translation.
