Though raised in England, I work part-time as an English Teacher in Russia with all levels up to advanced. Therefore, I have a finely honed grasp of the intricacies of the language and plenty of experience editing and re-shaping the written work of non-native writers. Having worked for various online businesses, I have written and proofread web content in abundance using different CMS platforms (including Magento and Wordpress). I can also write basic web codes (up-to-date HTML and CSS3).

I have studied Russian for ten years now, including a year living in Moscow (2017-18). In September I enrolled on the Master's course in Translation Studies and after graduation (2023) would like to start my freelance career

WHO I AM: Bilingual since birth I have always had an immence interest in two things: Music and Languages. Throughout my life i had many opportunities and demands to perform translation tasks on a personal and a professional level as well as privatly teaching languages. My translation experience spanns from simple e-meil and daily communications translations to academic translations. While bieng a professional composer i have gained great skill of holding myself to the deadline and demanding the highest standard of work. I've been born to German-speaking Austrian parents but was raised in English-speaking Canada. Due to this fact and to the fact that I competed my Master's in Austria, I am fluent in both languages and am fond of translating from German into English. Since 2000, when I started my translator's career, I've managed to translate millions of words in a great range of fields, from fiction to medicine.

I taught English as a Foreign Language in St. Petersburg, Russia from 2006 to 2018. In my time there I translated Russian-English and edited a variety of texts including song lyrics, how to guides, business presentations, resumes, guided tours, website content and press blurbs.
