Translation has always got to serve a purpose. Therefore having the recipient/reader in mind is crucial. I am a language enthusiast and take great pride in my work assisting clients with their projects and documents. My approach to each client is tailored to their individual needs. I have worked with multiple international companies regarding marketing and advertising. This experience includes both translating and editing, creating work which not only serves a purpose, but is a result of both input and communication from both parties: the translator and the client. I've been in translations/linguistics since 1997, millions of words, vast experience, a great lot of fields, I've worked for Google, Airbnb, governments (local and states), just name it. I'm fond of languages. I can speak English (of course), French, Russian, some German, Norwegian, Chinese and even Ukrainian. I've studied Icelandic and am familiar with Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Faroese. Localization/CAT tools: starting from routine tasks such as bilingual files prep and post-processing and ending with deployment of custom-tailored translation memory servers using SVN or GIT technologies.
