I've been in translations/linguistics since 1997, millions of words, vast experience, a great lot of fields, I've worked for Google, Airbnb, governments (local and states), just name it. I'm fond of languages. I can speak English (of course), French, Russian, some German, Norwegian, Chinese and even Ukrainian. I've studied Icelandic and am familiar with Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Faroese. Localization/CAT tools: starting from routine tasks such as bilingual files prep and post-processing and ending with deployment of custom-tailored translation memory servers using SVN or GIT technologies. Briefly, I love everything related to languages.

Aerospace Structures engineer with a focus on programming and a PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics. Received a translator's diploma from the Ministry of Culture in 2020, with 9.12 / 9.25 points out of 10 for English-Romanian / Romanian-English literary translation. I have worked with texts from a variety of fields, including content for several websites, mobile app interfaces, video subtitles (predominantly English to Romanian), short stories and a historical fiction novel (Romanian to English).

Translation has always got to serve a purpose. Therefore having the recipient/reader in mind is crucial. I am a language enthusiast and take great pride in my work assisting clients with their projects and documents. My approach to each client is tailored to their individual needs. I have worked with multiple international companies regarding marketing and advertising. This experience includes both translating and editing, creating work which not only serves a purpose, but is a result of both input and communication from both parties: the translator and the client. For the past 15 years, in the course of my work I have translated notary documents, court documents, legal documents, technical manuals and non-specialist documents to and from English, German and Romanian. I am a native Romanian speaker. Being born, raised and educated in Timisoara, Romania, I have a full knowledge about my mother tongue as well as the subtle language meanings of the text I translate. Through the jobs I have held, I have acquired knowledge and terminology in numerous fields. My production on a daily basis ranges from 2000 to 2500 words per day, depending on the difficulties presented by the text to be translated and my fees are available upon request.
