I've been born to German-speaking Austrian parents but was raised in English-speaking Canada. Due to this fact and to the fact that I competed my Master's in Austria, I am fluent in both languages and am fond of translating from German into English. Since 2000, when I started my translator's career, I've managed to translate millions of words in a great range of fields, from fiction to medicine.

My name is Magda and I have been a translator since 2006. I graduated applied linguistics with specialization in English and German and a postgraduate school of legal translation. I obtained also qualifications in audio-visual translation and translated 9 documentaries. I specialize in the fields of law, business, marketing, medicine and humanities.

I have been translating professionally since 2013. My native languages are Ukrainian and Russian. I speak German, English and Polish fluently. For the past six years, I have been working and studying in Austria and Poland, and that has helped me to master my German and Polish, respectively. I have experience translating texts with wide range of subjects, including, but not limited to, legal, technical, political and creative texts.

I had an opportunity to work as a student researcher in the US where I gained experience in both scientific and clinical settings. Having worked in the medical field for 7 years, I acquired a proficiency level in English as well as fluency in the medical language. Most importantly, I’ve developed a great passion for scientific and clinical writing and deep appreciation of every detail. My story reveals that I am motivated and ready for a challenge - I adapt and learn quickly.
