Native English speaker who lived for 6 years in Italy. Two years of experience translating blogs, brochures and formal listings in the realm of fashion, travel, real estate, food and tourism. Experience also in translating legal documents. Success with website localization, with 2 specific clients. I value a quality translation and I work hard to provide text that sounds very natural in the English language.

I have 31 years of experience teaching and tutoring all levels of Spanish. With a Master's Degree in the Spanish Language and Literature from Middlebury College, VT, I consider myself to be a grammar expert, in addition to being fluent in the language. I had study abroad experiences in Mexico prior to living in Madrid during graduate school. In 2010 I spent the Winter-Spring semester traveling throughout Argentina and homeschooling my then 3rd grade son and 7th grade daughter. Also in 2010, I began a summer language immersion program, True Immersion, LLC, in Sevilla, Spain for American teens - which continues today. I am highly proficient in Italian - primarily self-taught - but have also studied at the Lorenzo de Medici and Centro Firenze language schools in Florence over the last 14 years. From 2006-2011 I participated in an Italian Book Club hosted by a native instructor from Virginia Commonwealth University. I love the work of translating and look forward to helping you!

I've been in translations/linguistics since 1997, millions of words, vast experience, a great lot of fields, I've worked for Google, Airbnb, governments (local and states), just name it. I'm fond of languages. I can speak English (of course), French, Russian, some German, Norwegian, Chinese and even Ukrainian. I've studied Icelandic and am familiar with Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Faroese. Localization/CAT tools: starting from routine tasks such as bilingual files prep and post-processing and ending with deployment of custom-tailored translation memory servers using SVN or GIT technologies. Briefly, I love everything related to languages.

An Australian in Florence, Italy. With a background in Public Relations and Marketing, extensive experience in translating has been gained in various fields from food and wine to architecture and legal matters. I have translated business contracts, instruction manuals, cookbooks, travel brochures, menus, websites, wine bottle labels and a whole host of weird and wonderful things for a range of international clients. Passionate about the written word in all its forms, I can write in American or British English upon request, even in rhyming couplets if that's what you need.
