I have graduated from the Translation and Interpreting Studies Department of Yeditepe University. The experience I have accumulated as a student of one of the most prestigious universities in the country has been valuable for improving my speed, learning work ethics, and getting accustomed to diverse fields. I have been working for over two years as a professional freelancer now and this has improved my flexibility and my ability to adapt to different demands of various clients. As a passionate linguist, I made my debut in the translation and localization world in 2014, when I was only a freshman in the university. I started as an intern and ended up to be freelance translator at SDL Turkey for 2 years. During this period of time, I gained immense amount of experience and I learned how to use multiple translation tools. Following that, I worked for a transcription company and made transcriptions of voice records both in English and Turkish. Finally, I started working with Localex in 2017 and that was one of the best decisions I made regarding my profession. During my time in SDL plc. and Localex I made translations, reviews and proof-reading in a wide variety of fields such as law, IT, marketing, legal, medical, gaming. I have a diploma in Translation and Interpretation Studies from one of the most prestigious universities in Turkey, and I have spent 3 months in Canada to enhance my technical competencies upon its completion. I have gained technical experience in English-Turkish technology translation for press with major companies such as Nokia, alongside translation for other diverse subjects. I also possess some knowledge of Russian and German, although my expertise lies in English-Turkish and Turkish-English translation.

I'm an ambitious person who likes research and learning about new things. This aspect of my personality aids in my progression in the translation field. I particularly enjoy medical documents.

Working as localization specialist for major accounts in IT, marketing, ERP, technical and legal since 2015. Before being freelancer, I have worked in company which is exclusive SAP SE localization partner in Turkey. I took part in localization of corporate and legal texts as well as translation processes of the SAP SE systems. Aside from ERP, I have gained experience in IT, marketing and technical texts. During my career, I have also worked as a project manager for 9 months and managed projects for major companies from IT, marketing (mainly tourism and travel) and technical fields.

I worked in the field of tourism as a salesman. I have done my internship in Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a translator. Currently, I am working as a full time certified translator and I also work in freelance translation projects. I am trying to improve myself in translating legal, trade and medical documents.

I am an expert translator with a strong command over English and French. My native language is Turkish and I have over 3 years of working experience.
