I am a native Turkish speaker and a certified translator/interpreter with over 10 years of experience in translation, interpreting and proofreading. I have studied and lived in English speaking countries for many years. I started working as a full-time sworn in-house translator in 2007 and worked continuously for the the same translation/localization agency for 10 years until March 2017. I am a Technical Support Specialist at one of the leading international IT company. Even so working at IT sector, I graduated from Social Sciences. I also have a MA diploma in same field. I was born in 1998 in İzmir. I am studying Translation and Interpreting at İstanbul 29 Mayıs University. I am also doing a minor in psychology. I graduated from one of the most prominent language and literature departments of Turkey after which I started working as a professional translator and conference interpreter without any interruption till now. I have been working as a professional translator since sophomore class. After having graduated from Bilkent University's Translation and Interpretation Department in 2002, I worked in several sectors including media and advertisement, while also continuing my profession as a freelancer. In the meanwhile, for six issues I served as editor in chief for a monthly alternative health magazine called Bioenergy & Vitamins. In 2007, I decided to leave media sector and refocused on my original profession in linguistics. I started as Project Manager in Avrasya Translation, and after having gained some very valuable experience on clients, projects and translation tools I decided to continue as a full time freelance translator.
