My name is Cristina Fernández and I am a full-time Spanish translator and proofreader. I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting (University of Salamanca, 2012). I am native in Spanish (EU) and I am fluent in English and French. I have 10 years of experience, one as an in-house Project Manager for a Spanish Agency (McFelder Translations) and 9 as a freelancer, working with several agencies as well as direct clients (Booking.com, Amazon.com and others).

I’m a native Spanish speaker translator with fluency in German, Italian and English. I like to help my clients to overcome any language barrier they may find. I also find the process of researching a subject to ensure a solid translation to be particularly satisfying, as well as investigating the expressive possibilities of my target language, an aspect of the translation process that is often overlooked and yet an important element of the quality of the final product. I have experience using tools such as Trados or Memsource, as well as the various reliable reference sources for each language (DIEC; Treccani; RAE; Τριανταφυλλίδη...). The type of translation that most attracts my attention is literary, although I have extensive demonstrable experience in the field of technical translation (recent projects being for the nautical and stone industry). I am a Colombian guy who is currently working in Russia, I have been here for more than 5 consecutive years. My native language is Spanish, I have learned English since my childhood and also because I do not live in Colombia, as a personal goal I decided to learn the Russian language, currently I have a good level in all three languages.
