I enjoy translation for many reasons. I have always had an interest in foreign languages and cultures, so it is a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to work with them. I also find the process of researching a subject to ensure a solid translation to be particularly satisfying, as well as investigating the expressive possibilities of my target language, an aspect of the translation process that is often overlooked and yet an important element of the quality of the final product. I have experience using tools such as Trados or Memsource, as well as the various reliable reference sources for each language (DIEC; Treccani; RAE; Τριανταφυλλίδη...). The type of translation that most attracts my attention is literary, although I have extensive demonstrable experience in the field of technical translation (recent projects being for the nautical and stone industry). I´m a Colombian expat currently living and studying International Relations and business at Kazan (Volga region) Federal University in Kazan, Rep. of Tatarstan. Russia. I speak fluently English and Russian + my native Spanish. My interests are Political and Economical affairs, linguistics and second language acquisition, Sociology and all that concerns Human Sciences. Few years ago i was a proffesional Soccer player (2012-2014) in a professional club of the Second division of my country. Colombia. Currently I teach ESL in a language academy of Kazan.
