I'm a Catalan - English - Italian - Spanish freelance translator. I specialise in Biomedicine, Science, IT (Google & Apple), Sports, and Journalism. I also proofread texts in Spanish and Catalan. My daily translation output is around 2,500 - 3,000 words. In the near future, I want to translate literature (one of my great passions). I was born and raised in Guatemala, where I attended an American school learning English as a Native rather than as a second language. I have a degree in Translation (English to Spanish and Spanish to English) and Editing in Spanish (Corrección de Textos) I also have a degree in Biochemistry.

I grew up speaking Spanish at home and English at school, learning to have full command of either language from a young age. With a background teaching English as a second and foreign language to Spanish and Japanese native speakers, I can take complex ideas and translate them without losing the meaning or concept behind the words and grasp the nuances of the language. I've had the opportunity to do live translations, both En > Es and Es > En. While working at an English school, I also had the chance to translate technical documents and manuals from English to Spanish for a large manufacturing company in the automobile industry.
