I'm a multilingual and multicultural professional with college education in Literature and Psychology, with more than 10 years of experience in translation, interpretation, editing and writing. Prior to founding Indigo Translations, for approximately 8 years I worked as an associate of the M&A and Capital Markets practice of Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez, S.C., a law firm based in Mexico City, where I had the opportunity to participate in the negotiation and advice on some of the most representative mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, spin-offs and liquidations occurred in the Mexican market during the last years, representing national and international companies, private equity funds and venture capital funds as well as in the drafting of transactional documentation for sundry industries. I am a freelance translator. I majored in communications at the Universidad Iberoamericana (Ibero); I also have a diploma in Academic Abilities by the ITESO and a master's degree in Humanities (Art, History, Philosophy, Literature) issued by the Tec de Monterrey/Cambridge University. I have been head of the career of Communication Sciences at the Institute of Sciences and Higher Studies of Tamaulipas. I have taught literature, short film, and film appreciation workshops; some of them were taught in Spanish some other in English. Also, I am a published author with over 15 years of experience writing short stories. I am a native speaker of both languages. I was born in the UK to Mexican parents, which means I have a full mastery of both languages. My work has revolved around translating financial reports for different companies all around the globe. Clients have especially reached out for me when needing to have contracts and agreement translated into accurate Spanish and English.
