Hi! I'm Nick. To start with, I have a significant experience in Ru->En and En->Ru translation and software localization. I've spent 2,5 years in JSC PROGNOZ (a large international company) and almost 2 years already as a freelancer in such companies as SDL, Lionbridge, ABBYY LS and SmartCAT being engaged in translating and proofreading various texts for EMC, Microsoft, LG, ZEISS, Siemens, Roche, etc. I have a university degree in translation and linguistics and a college degree in finance and law.

Right now I'm working in Kazakh private aviation company El Samgau as a Chinese-Russian, English-Russian translator. I'm also part-working as an online Chinese, English and German teacher in international school ITGENIO. From september 2022 to December 2022 I worked in foreign language school Arboris (located in Izhevsk, Russia). I conducted express courses on English grammar, phonology and reading rules. From September of 2020 to May 2021 I worked as a volunteer in Udmurt State University to help international students. My duties included: meeting international students in airport, accompanying them to a resedence, translation of documents, helping with documents, helping with settlement, helping with adaptation, conducting city tours, helping with conference translations. I am an anesthesiologist at a maternity hospital with 7-years work experience. I also work as a freelance medical translator since 2011.

After being trained as a translator at university, I spent several years preparing students for Cambridge examinations (such as IELTS, FCE and CAE). At the same time, I was frequently asked to translate medical and technical texts and received positive feedback, which made me consider taking more translations. I enjoy the process of translation as it demands both creativity and precision, and it is also a perfect opportunity to learn more about this world (I am particularly fascinated with biotechnology and medicine, which is why I prefer to work with research articles, clinical studies, etc).
