I have been working as full-time translator in various English to Brazilian Portuguese freelance projects since February 2013. During this time, I translated over 1,000,000 words in hundreds of projects for various clients, as well as proofread/edited hundreds of translations. My work experience has been focused on the education and health sectors, but I also concluded a diverse range of projects that include the translation of games, subtitles for feature films, workers' CVs, and several legal agreements and contracts.

Mainly, I want to focus on using translation to facilitate communication between individuals and companies, as well as participating in entrepreneurial endeavors that catalyze socio-economic development. I have a depth of experience working in telecommunications, energy and new business development as well as 19 years of experience of translation and intercultural communication. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Translation and Localization Project Management at the University of Maryland, thus honing my translation skills, incorporating CAT Tools, MT and project management techniques into our company workflow and service delivery.

I am native Portuguese with excellent grammar, punctuation and spelling skills and I have almost as great skills in English. My brain is definitely bilingual. I have been a freelance Professional Translator since 2013, specializing in Business, Marketing and Social Sciences. However, I have also performed successful translations in many other different fields, such as website and app contents, legal contracts, technical manuals, automotive systems, coaching materials, among others. I am very detail and quality oriented. Before that, I was an Administrative Assistant for over 5 years.
