I have been translating technical, business and private contents from English to Portuguese for more than 10 years. Throughout this time, I have translated and proofread documents such as, hospital equipment catalog, questionnaire, medical forms, surveys, restaurant menus, letters, product list, prenuptial agreement, nautical manual, children and adult apps, casino games, real state software among other documents. I started translating in 2005 when I was a teenager. I had a Brazilian forum about a Korean singer and most of the news we've got were in English. I translated all the English news we could find into Portuguese so our friends and visitors could read too. In 2009 I got into Languages course in college, thinking in becoming a literary translator since I really love to read. I translated short stories, ended up learning how to subtitle, all to family and friends. Late in 2015, I started my specialization in English - Portuguese translation where I've learned a lot about this amazing career. In 2016 I got my first paid jobs in translation and I've joined Babelcube, Coursera, and TedTalks to improve my skills. Today, I translate more technical texts than literature. But I can't say it isn't amazing. I've learned so many new things, and so much about myself in the process that I must say it is a win-win situation.
