I started translating in 2005 when I was a teenager. I had a Brazilian forum about a Korean singer and most of the news we've got were in English. I translated all the English news we could find into Portuguese so our friends and visitors could read too. In 2009 I got into Languages course in college, thinking in becoming a literary translator since I really love to read. I translated short stories, ended up learning how to subtitle, all to family and friends. Late in 2015, I started my specialization in English - Portuguese translation where I've learned a lot about this amazing career. In 2016 I got my first paid jobs in translation and I've joined Babelcube, Coursera, and TedTalks to improve my skills. Today, I translate more technical texts than literature. But I can't say it isn't amazing. I've learned so many new things, and so much about myself in the process that I must say it is a win-win situation.

I am a translation student who has been working with translation since 2018. I have translated all kinds of texts of texts, from poetry to academic essays and articles. Since I am at university exclusively studying translation, I have a vast theoretical background combined with translation practice since it is part of the course curriculum. I have been part of a scientific initiation project for undergraduates and received an honorable mention for it.

Throughout this time, I have translated and proofread documents such as, hospital equipment catalog, questionnaire, medical forms, surveys, restaurant menus, letters, product list, prenuptial agreement, nautical manual, children and adult apps, casino games, real state software among other documents. Besides my current position as a freelance Translator, I have some experience in Subtitling, considering rules of synchronization and how to use subtitling software. I can also act as a Transcriptionist, understanding basic rules of verbatim and true verbatim transcription.
