English and Portuguese Languages Teacher and Translator

A self-taught English speaker in love with games, technology, and literature. I'm an undergraduate in the Linguistics areas, with a research published concerning translation studies. As such, I have been working as a translator for 8 years as a freelancer, specialized in game and fantasy stories. I have worked on the following translations: - Planetside 2 - Multiplatform game by Sony Entertainment - Eredan iTCG - Online Trading Card Game by Feerik Games - Eredan Arena - Collectible Card Game by Feerik Games - Oh My Dollz - Social Game by Feerik Games Also, I have research and developed a project about intermediatic translation concerning the game Warcraft and the movie Warcraft: The Beginning. Besides those, I have also worked in different areas, such as Customer Support, to which I have an article published and highlighted on LinkedIn, and Technology, as a Tester and Documentation Specialist.

I'm a System Engineer who loves languages and live in Brazil, I've worked as translator a few times, it's not my main profession but I certanly take care about the quality of my translations because of my love for right speaking and writing.

My native language is Portuguese. I was certified Portuguese interpreter and translator by the state of Texas in 2004 by the Dallas County Community College System.

I am a NATIVE Portuguse speaker, from Brazil. I’ve been working as a freelance translator since 2014. I am fluent in English and Portuguese and have an extensive knowledge of IT and engineering, fields I worked in for more than 5 years. As a translator, I have been working on multiple projects for multinationals such NVidia, VIVO and Microsoft. On a daily basis, I translate websites, landing pages, softwares, documents, emails, banners, blogs, contracts, etc. I got my degree in Translation by UNESP (Brazil) back in 2017. I studied Computer Engineering at USP (Brazil). I have an eye for detail and deliver spotless translations. I also work quickly, without affecting the quality of the projects I work on

I started translating in 2005 when I was a teenager. I had a Brazilian forum about a Korean singer and most of the news we've got were in English. I translated all the English news we could find into Portuguese so our friends and visitors could read too. In 2009 I got into Languages course in college, thinking in becoming a literary translator since I really love to read. I translated short stories, ended up learning how to subtitle, all to family and friends. Late in 2015, I started my specialization in English - Portuguese translation where I've learned a lot about this amazing career. In 2016 I got my first paid jobs in translation and I've joined Babelcube, Coursera, and TedTalks to improve my skills. Today, I translate more technical texts than literature. But I can't say it isn't amazing. I've learned so many new things, and so much about myself in the process that I must say it is a win-win situation.
