I am native Portuguese with excellent grammar, punctuation and spelling skills and I have almost as great skills in English. My brain is definitely bilingual.
I have been a freelance Professional Translator since 2013, specializing in Business, Marketing and Social Sciences. However, I have also performed successful translations in many other different fields, such as website and app contents, legal contracts, technical manuals, automotive systems, coaching materials, among others. I am very detail and quality oriented.
Before that, I was an Administrative Assistant for over 5 years. I translated some website articles as a volunteer (since 2010) and I worked for an import/export company where I was responsible for all external communications (English/Spanish). I also performed some translation work in one of the companies I worked in.
I use SDL Trados 2011, but I always check my translations, sentence by sentence, for grammar, meaning and vocabulary use - no automatic translations! I am also very proficient in manual translations, which many clients demand in order to attain better quality.
Professional translator with over a decade of experience working with top multinational retailers and worldwide entrepreneurs. I am also a copywriter and a proofreader, with a degree in Advertising.
For me, anything less than full and complete customer satisfaction is unacceptable. Far beyond informing, I seek to amaze.

Hello! My name is Júlia and I'm an ENG-PTBR translator.
My translations are manually done by me, never through any sort of machine translations and they are also proofread and revised before turned in. I have worked with an assorted number of online and software CAT tools and have basic knowledge of coding and I'm a fast learner with new technologies and software.
My goal while translating and revising is for the text to seem localized, I always try to make the end result flow easily on the reader's eyes. I adapt the text (when needed) so it doesn't look "chunky" or "automated", it should always look like someone wrote it and not a translation bot.
I am very motivated and passionate about translating. I believe localizing and making sure the right message is delivered is always very fun and important. I value my clients and always aim for their satisfaction. My schedule is very flexible and I'm very committed to my deadlines.
Thank you in advance!

I'm an aspiring writer, studying an university of undergraduation (BA) in Translation Studies. I already did some translations for the course. I was born in great São Paulo, Brazil, but now I live in a city called Guarulhos. Since my childhood I'm connect with words, languages and arts in general. My mother love to read, my dad has a rock band since his youth, and, actually, he works as designer 3D. Both of them know how to draw. So, those things prove that I grew up around art things, and when I was kind 13 years old, I decided that I would be a writer, after started writing fanfics. When I finished the college, I decided course undergraduation (BA) in Translation Studies, because I already have the English that I learn in Lagueges Schools, and I love my own language, so this course combines both of them. I managed to enter the writer area I'm until now learning more and more about translation, and I'm liking.
I love music, love to write, love to draw, love to translate.
I prime for quality: I have been working with English teaching for quite a long time now. For the same period, I have also worked on many kinds of translations such as cosmetics, law, computing, novels, contracts, etc. Concerning my portfolio, due to copyright restrictions, I am afraid of uploading some files I translated. However, I can say I did the 144-page English version of the Brazilian book "Believe it, they are not dead!" by Nei Calderon (ISBN 978-85-5602-001-7). I also wrote a simplified version of the 'Little Prince' for students of English (ISBN 978-85-5522-155-2). Some years ago, I, along with two more partners, did a 400-page translation of a contract for a consulate. Well, there is much more. =)
