I am a PhD candidate at Koç University, Istanbul, at the faculty of Archaeology and History of Art. I have studied English for almost 20 years, I wrote my master thesis in English and my current PhD program is fully taught in English. I have translated a large amount of material from English to Italian, from Italian to English and from Turkish to English in the past years. In 2017 I got the TOEFL certificate with a score of 104/120. I write academic researches and texts in English on a weekly base, using materials written in various languages. I am a bilingual Italian English freelance translator with over 20 years experience in translations in the following fields: instruction books, manuals, industrial equipment, finance, law, fashion, footwear and apparel detailing, software, tanning industry, electronics, tourism, food (fresh produce), automotive, marketing, business, international trade, bank, civil engineering, tenders, contracts, subcontracts, consulting. I have been working as a translator since 2018, when I started to attend the Languages and Cultures for Tourism and International Mediation course at the University of Bari. I graduated with the highest grade (110 e lode) and started my specialisation at the University of Turin (a Translation course focusing on literary translation). I work from both English and French and I am fond of literature: novels, poetry, theatre are my highest aims.
