My name is Guido Ballarini, I have 15 years of experience in the field as translator/editor from English to Italian and Italian proofreader. My mother tongue is Italian and I have lived for over 9 years in the United States and for 5 of these years I worked as a full-time in-house translator from English to Italian. In this period I honed my translator and CAT user skills to a very high level. I also have several years of experience as project manager, having run translation projects for over a dozen of languages for almost 3 years. My name is Fanni, and I am currently studying International Business Economics at Corvinus University of Budapest. My native language is Hungarian, but besides that I speak English at an advanced level and I have an intermediate level Business Italian language certificate, moreover, I am preparing for an advanced level Business Italian language exam at the moment. I have translated theses, contracts, commercial texts and social media posts before, of which you can find some in my portfolio. I started my career 21 years ago as in-house translator and PM at a translation agency based in Turin, Italy. After three years, I decided to take up the challenge and become a freelancer, in order to devote myself to those texts I was most interested in. My experience as PM gave me a deep insight into all aspects related to the translation process, thus I perfectly know and understand the needs and expectations of Project Managers whom I work with. I am able to work under pressure, and manage large volumes of work with no prejudice to quality. I am able to translate very technical texts, like instruction manuals for X-ray inspection systems, but also to use my creative side to produce translations of content marketing articles.
