Hello! My name is Arif Furqon. I am a fulltime translator specialising in IT, Technical, and Marketing fields. I am a very dedicated translator and very commited to translation business. What I believe a translation should look like - A translation shouldn’t look like a translation. I worked as a translator after 10 years of working in the engineering field. Engineering, science, and medical are the main subject of translation, while marketing, creative translations, games, technology, and websites are my secondary subjects of translation. Understanding the content, the targetted reader, and the language style is my way of translation.

HPI Certified General Translator (English to Indonesian)

I started as a freelance translator in 2017, started by translating Japanese novels, songs, works, etc. Mostly focusing on novels, songs, and articles in EN-JP/ID.

Upon graduation from Bina Nusantara University in 2009, I directly worked for Business Advisory Indonesia until my resignation in 2015 as an Assistant Managing Editor. From 2016 to 2019, I worked at PT. Legal Centric Indonesia with the last position as the Head of Translation Division. In addition to my formal working experience as a translator/editor, I also provided translation services for some companies and organizations. Together with my friends, I founded ASJ Translation in 2017. I passed the Indonesian Translators’ Qualification Examination held by the Professional Certification Agency of University of Indonesia in 2021 for the English-Indonesian language pair. On 5 October 2022, I took an oath as a sworn translator administered by the Directorate General of Legal Administrative Affairs. I also took the Assessment of Sworn Translators for Professionals in 2022 for the Indonesian-English language pair in order to complete my qualifications.
