I've been working in translation and interpreting for nearly 20 years, mainly from English to Indonesian vice versa. However, occasionally I can also translate from Dutch into Indonesian

I am a full time freelance translator, currently living in East Java, Indonesia, holding an associate degree of English literature and linguistics (with GPA: 3.96 out of 4) and Master’s Degree in English teaching and learning (with GPA: 3.69 out of 4), member of Certified PRO Network (a certified international translator network), a Google Certified Translator (completed SLP training held by Google) and an HPI Certified Translator (certified by the Association of Indonesian Translators in 2015) and intensely working on a wide range of translation and localization projects since 2006. Every project is special to me; regardless of the volume! I usually spend my time researching the languages, writing language related articles, blogging and playing around with some CAT (Computer Aided Translation) Tools.

I got my BS in computer science years ago, but then I found my passion in translation field. I've been providing English to Indonesian services (documents/articles/websites translation, proofreading/editing, app localization, subtitling) since 2009. I have developed different areas of expertise, including: IT, Website, Apps, Marketing, General Health, Training, Travel & Tourism.

Has been in translation industry for over 14 years with solid experience to offer, an internet and research savvy that pays attention to details and messages, and has been working for vast variety of clients and subjects.

I had been working for wikiHow Indonesia for 5 months in 2015-2016. I had translated 30 articles with high quality and every week, my works were being scored. I also graduated from Russian studies. I translated lots of articles and texts from Russian to Indonesian for academic purposes. For all my previous job, from worked as a volunteer, translator, and Liaison Officer, I was obligated to work professionally. I worked hard and responsible for all what I do. Upon graduation from Bina Nusantara University in 2009, I directly worked for Business Advisory Indonesia until my resignation in 2015 as an Assistant Managing Editor. From 2016 to 2019, I worked at PT. Legal Centric Indonesia with the last position as the Head of Translation Division. In addition to my formal working experience as a translator/editor, I also provided translation services for some companies and organizations. Together with my friends, I founded ASJ Translation in 2017. I passed the Indonesian Translators’ Qualification Examination held by the Professional Certification Agency of University of Indonesia in 2021 for the English-Indonesian language pair. On 5 October 2022, I took an oath as a sworn translator administered by the Directorate General of Legal Administrative Affairs. I also took the Assessment of Sworn Translators for Professionals in 2022 for the Indonesian-English language pair in order to complete my qualifications.

I am M Amir Syarifuddin, I am currently working as a professionally qualified freelance English><Indonesian interpreter and translator with 6 years experience. I have recently joined with UNHCR, Malaysia and funkycorp.com, a Japanese boutique agency by translating the company’s website and company profile. At the end of 2017, I have been hired by Asian Absolute, a UK translation company based in Singapore by translating annual report of Indonesian company and some other translation projects. I am also currently running my business on cryptocurrency with my teams as a community manager which based in Netherlands. I am determined, enthusiastic, and hard working as part of the team or individual. I am also a dedicated, punctual, and reliable person who is able to work in a busy environment and generate a high standard of works in multi tasks.
