German native freelance translator with more than 20 years experience working for national and international agencies, individuals and companies. I am a dedicated, thorough and reliable translator with an eye for details always looking forward to extending my knowledge and becoming familiar with new topics. However, due to my previous professional experience at a court, I´m particularly interested in legal translations.

Starting as interpreter and translator during the balkan war, while studying German language in Zagreb, I moved 1995 to Austria, where I live ever since. I am Croatian and German native with profund knowledge of English language. In the meanwhile I was working in big international companies like European Telecom International, a company of Telefonica, and DHL. Since 2012 I am self-employed and work as translator and writer.

I am a regular translator on Gengo (Pro level with a score of 9.8 and 41,000 translated words), Smartcat (95,000 translated words), and on other platforms on a project-by-project basis. Having studied Dutch, International and European (Corporate and Commercial) Law in Maastricht on Master level and being half Dutch I'm able to master the Dutch language on a fairly high level. Also, I have achieved the official language certificate NT2 II which refers to level B2/C1 and is aimed at university level. My English skills are mirrored by two Cambridge Certificates (FCE and CAE which refer to the level B2 and C1) combined with 15/15 points for my Abitur-exam in 2012.
