I have been working as a professional freelance translator for the language pairs EN-DE, EN-EL, DE-EL, EL-DE in several projects. Editor and translator for EN/DE, trained at a business school in Vienna/Austria. Founder and director of Building Bridges Translations (2021). Since 2004 I participated in numerous projects translating and editing complete websites and handbooks for the technical and electronical industry, but also hotel prose. I translated and edited subtitles for several movies and documenteries. Three years I worked as fulltime Siri Data Analyst and Software Tester at Apple European HQ in Cork/Ireland, where I took part in tasks for testing and improving localization and speech recognition coding tools for the Austrian, German, and Swiss market.

As a trained European Merchant, with additional subject-specific training for lawyers in English, I have worked as a sales assistant, sales representative and recruiter for about 10 years, before I started freelancing full-time in 2009. Translating patents (technical English and German) became the main focus of my work as well as manuals and instructions, product descriptions and free style writing. As my clients are lawyers, manufacturing companies, marketing agencies and many more, I enjoy delivering anything from legal language to more creative writing. I am a certified court translator and interpreter for English, with over 30 years of work experience in translation, proofreading, editing, transcription etc. in English, German, French, Croatian, Bosnian, and Serbian. Over the years I have acquired extensive knowledge of legal, business, marketing, and other terminology. I also have significant experience in the fields of cooking and food, agriculture, kitchen and home appliances, and IT. I am eager to work and provide solutions in a timely and reliable manner, with client satisfaction always being my main goal.

With a long and extensive background in the corporate world (US, CY & NL companies) in leading positions, I have managed to become a well-rounded specialist with strong expertise in Customer Services, Management, Account Management, Direct Selling, Compliance (within Direct Selling) obtained in international, multicultural environments of the sectors Tourism, e-Commerce, Telecom, FMCG, Financial Trading and Crowdfunding. I have translated text throughout my entire professional career, and am fully bilingual in the language pair EN-DE, DE-EN, and EN/DE - NL. I live in the Netherlands for over 19 years now, am a native German, and work as a freelance translator here and on other platforms for more than 5 years.
