I am a German and French qualified lawyer who has worked for over 20 years as a legal consultant and attorney in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and other jurisdictions. Last year, I relocated to Normandy / France and took a one-year sabbatical. Since January 2022, I have started a language service company and offer legal and book translation services and German and English business language courses. I translate from English or French to German and French or German to English. To maintain the highest quality standards, I currently do not offer translation to French or any other language.

I'm a native German and very fluent in English, taking curricular and extracurricular courses before and during university. I am a regular translator on Gengo (Pro level with a score of 9.8 and 41,000 translated words), Smartcat (95,000 translated words), and on other platforms on a project-by-project basis. Mikael moved to Hong Kong from Germany at the age of 16. After graduating he underwent an education as an “Office Management Assistant”, a typical German program that guides one through all departments within a company. Since that time he spent most of his years in Hong Kong, working in and travelling to various countries within Asia, Europe and also the US. He has especially strong knowledge of the Asian market, having spent the past 33 years in Hong Kong with international exposure. During his career he was fortunate to have worked with a fascinating range of products, services, group of companies and individuals, creating, building and leading brands and different markets; From technical consumables to hi-tech machineries.

Since 2004 I participated in numerous projects translating and editing complete websites and handbooks for the technical and electronical industry, but also hotel prose.
