My name is David. I am a French native speaker translator. As an expatriate, I am constantly dealing with different languages and culture. I have a long experience in Learning and development area, working in a Corporate environment and in Global teams. My main activity was trainer/consultant however it included translating content from HR world (communications, training materials, processes, support materials) but also from other areas: gaming, technical instructions for industry, health and safety, travelling, health, blog article, organisation of events, financial reports from NGO... I don't translate word-by-word but I make sure the final product reflects customer's culture and environment. I write sentences as the native French would speak. I guarantee availability, professionalism, flexibility and on time delivery.

I love translating legal documents (e.g. contracts, certificates, notarial certificates, licenses, patents, apostilles, legalizations) and other documents such as books, emails, academic transcripts, websites, and user guides.

Amateur translator but also interpreter. This gives me a certain ease in writing; if only to detect and render the nuances of each language. Rigour and reactivity, curiosity, culture, I am also moved when I read. I react first of all to the form, to the language that I judge cold, neutral or neat. Wooden language, technical language or passionate language: I take it into account and try to reproduce it as best I can.

I am a professional translator/interpreter from Yekaterinburg, Russia. Free lance experience since 1998 (see details in my CV attached hereto). I mainly work in the field of industry, especially metallurgy, as our region has been developing since the 18th century around metal extraction and metal work. I am able to provide on site translation service as well as translation of any documents supporting your project - from technical data sheets and descriptions to contracts and reports. In 2013, I started translating articles for the Russian Academy of Sciences (the Ural Branch). Since that time, no article has been refused by foreign publishing houses and offices for a poor quality of translation.

I am currently enrolled in a Multilingual Master in Psycho- and Neurolinguistics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). I studied French, Latin and English language and literature at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven). I also have studied medicine at the University of Liège (ULiège).

I am a transparent, goal-oriented, and perfectionist professional with a positive perspective. I enjoy remote work and carefully follow instructions and I find it easy to work for long periods including during the night and maintain my attention to detail. That comes, of course, from having a genuine interest in Languages and Translation since I was a child and constant curiosity in researching different topics. I provide translation, retroversion, proofreading, transcription, and captioning services in general and specialized domains with appropriate technical resources. Fast translator, I'm a student in English literature and economics

I have been working in companies in Hamburg for the past two years as a student assistant. In the last two jobs I had (one at a statistics company and another at an international cooperation NGO) I have been tasked regularly to translate documents from French to English and from English to French. Additionally, I grew up in the bilingual city of Montréal where these two languages are used interchangeably. I did all my elementary and secondary education in French and all my university (first and second cycles) in English.
