My name is David. I am a French native speaker translator. As an expatriate, I am constantly dealing with different languages and culture. I have a long experience in Learning and development area, working in a Corporate environment and in Global teams. My main activity was trainer/consultant however it included translating content from HR world (communications, training materials, processes, support materials) but also from other areas: gaming, technical instructions for industry, health and safety, travelling, health, blog article, organisation of events, financial reports from NGO... I don't translate word-by-word but I make sure the final product reflects customer's culture and environment. I write sentences as the native French would speak. I guarantee availability, professionalism, flexibility and on time delivery.

I am a professional translator since 2012. I grew up in France in a Spanish family, so I learned very early both languages. I studied law in France and Spain so I can translate to both languages. I am a sworn translator before the Tribunal Judiciaire of Perpignan and often perform translations and interpretations for this institution in the legal field (hearings, confrontations, reports, court decisions etc ..) I translate websites, contracts, business presentations, products descriptions, medical records etc ....

I am a senior French translator (EN, ES and PT into FR) with 12 years of experience in economics, business, and legal translation (and 7 years of prior experience in IT services sales teams). I have a comprehensive knowledge of CAT and DTP tools and strong skills in text editing, terminology management and project coordination. I first graduated from a French Business School (EDHEC 1995) and worked as an IT services saleswoman for 7 years (sectors: aeronautics and defence; health industry). Then I quit my position to study translation for 3 years, graduated from the ESIT in 2007, and joined the French Ministry for the Economy and Finance as a translator the same year (after a competitive examination). In 2014, I joined the OECD French translation division (after another competitive examination) to work mainly on the BEPS Project (OECD/G20 project to fight tax evasion). Raised in a bilingual environment (French-Italian), I have naturally turned to languages and translation as a lifetime activity. With a university translation degree in hand, I explored various professional sectors to specialize in in specific areas - tourism&travel, hotels, education, fashion, aeronautics.

Having studied in the departments of English Language Teaching & French Language and Literature at leading universities in Turkey, I have been working now for 9 years as a certified English & French translator in almost every field of translation.

I'm a 29 years old French girl who first worked in Education, then decided to change and study Tourism. After 2 years as a Tour Guide in Portugal, working daily in English, French and basic Portuguese, I'm back in France. Currently working full time as a tour guide in a famous Champagne house, using English and French on a daily bases. Also working on a van transformation, starting to learn Spanish and saving money to go on a WHV in New Zeland in 2023/2024. I love to travel and my goal would be to manage to work online while travelling. I'm also passionate about wine, food, craft beer and animal cause.
