I am a multi-skilled, qualified translator with excellent communication skills and an academic background in language studies and economics. Flexible in the ability to adapt to challenges when they arise and with previous experience in both business and the not-for-profit sector. I am a quality-oriented translator who delivers accurate translations to set deadlines. The fact that I have been living and working in an English-speaking country for the past nine years enables me to translate with great precision. I believe it is crucial that translated and localized content looks, sounds and reads as natural as the original. I understand the importance of not only conveying the meaning but also the tone of the original content.

I work as translator since 2008. My daily capacity is approx 2,000 - 3,000 words for translation, resp. 5,000 words for proofreading. It depends on the text. During my translation career I have worked with user manuals, technical documents, financial statements, computer games, marketing materials like PR, HR documens, leaflets, surveys, web pages, sport interviews, personal letters, books, travel guides etc... I do not translate natural sciences like physics, chemistry and law.

I am a professional Czech linguist offering complex translation & related services incl. review, monolingual proofreading, post-editing, transcription, etc. I have excellent command of the target language, attention for detail and linguistic nuances. Last, but not least, I do care about the final result and honour the intented purpose of the client.

Already while studying my bachelor and Master's degree in translation, I got a few translation projects, mainly in the field of audiovisual translation. After my graduation, I started to profile as a literary translator + a translator of (popular) science books. Other than literary and audiovisiaul translation, I have experience with translating various manuals/handbooks and general texts.
