Hello, I am currently working as an ELL teacher in elementary school in Anchorage Alaska. This is my first year as an ELL teacher and I've worked as a Special Education Teacher for 6 years. I was born in Korea and graduated from college with a BS in Economics. I came to America 15 years ago. Before I came to America I worked as an article writer for a Monthly Health Magazine for 3 years. I also wrote several scripts for skits that were performed at small theaters and churches. I love writing and I believe my previous experiences would be a great asset for my new journey toward translating!
Growing up, I have always been curious and eager to get to know new things. And my inclination naturally led me into learning English. I have been working as a translator and interpreter for about 10 years. Mostly I worked as a freelancer here in Korea, not belonging to a certain agency. I am currently involved in a voluntary translation work for a non-profitable organization. I love challenges and want to expand the area of my career, working globally.
*FYI, my rate for audiovisual translation is a rate for subtitling and it's according to video hours, not my working hours.
I'm an Eng-Kor and Kor-Eng translator who currently lives in Hanoi, Vietnam.
